Crawley Borough Council is inviting residents, businesses, organisations and visitors to share their views on the draft Town Centre East Regeneration Plan, which sets out the council’s ambitious long-term vision to enhance this key part of Crawley, creating a more vibrant, connected and attractive town centre.
The Town Centre East area includes a number of key regeneration sites and public spaces around the Town Hall, County Buildings, Crawley College, Queensway, Queens Square, and The Boulevard.
Proposals within the draft plan explore opportunities to:
– provide 30,000 square metres (sqm) of commercial space for business and jobs growth
– introduce 21,000+ sqm of new education facilities at Crawley College
– expand the town centre’s cultural venues and community facilities
– improve public spaces and strengthen connections for walking and cycling across the town centre
– deliver around 850 new homes to support a growing town centre community
The consultation closes on 29 July.
