Epsom & Ewell Borough Council to carry out regeneration after receiving Community Infrastructure Levy funds

Epsom & Ewell Borough Council have awarded over £212,000 in Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding to regeneration projects in the borough.

Funding has been allocated on the basis of the health and recreational benefits the projects will have on the community, improving accessibility and helping biodiversity and the ecosystem.

The projects include replacing the playground equipment at Rosebery Park and Alexandra Recreational Ground, repairing the pathway at Nonsuch Park, regenerating the grounds at Horton Art Centre and improving Stamford Green Pond.

Work in Rosebery Park and Alexandra Recreational Ground started in February, while the repairs at Nonsuch Park will commence this month (March).

Timescales for the improvements to Horton Art Centre and Stamford Green Pond will be set in the near future.
