Have your say on the issues that will shape Brighton & Hove’s future development

Brighton & Hove City Council has launched its Our City Plan consultation to hear the views of residents, local businesses and those working in building design and construction that will help shape future development in the city over the next 15 to 20 years.  The consultation period will close on 20th January 2025.

The City Plan 2041 consultation asks for opinions on a wide range of issues, such as:

  • How can we increase the number of new homes that are built in the city? Is building taller one answer?
  • Should we develop park and ride sites to service the city centre?
  • Do you think there are certain areas of the city where short-term lets are more appropriate than in other areas or wards?

Respondents will also have the opportunity to give views on areas such as housing and accommodation, amenity spaces; transport and roads; sustainability and the natural environment; supporting a sustainable economy, and building a healthy city.  It has been designed to allow participants to give their opinion on one specific question they feel strongly about, or on a wide range of issues.
