All businesses based in Horsham District have been invited to take a short online quiz to test and improve their ability to make sales. Those who take part will be able to see a summary of results, and anonymous data will help inform the Council’s forthcoming business training programme modules.
The Council’s Economic Development team are aware that businesses invest precious time and resource generating sales opportunities via online outlets, direct mail, advertising, PR or face to face. Whether selling business to business or directly to consumers, it is critical businesses are effective at converting those hard-won opportunities into sales, turning interested people into actual customers. Given the initial investment, ensuring repeat trade and maximising referrals is also key.
The quiz has been developed with a sales and negotiation professional to help Horsham-based businesses of all sizes and to help the Council assess if there is a need for local training support in this vital business skill.
