Microsoft has taken an undisclosed equity stake in London-headquartered coding platform Builder.ai. The investment into Builder.ai will see the integration of the US technology giant’s cloud and AI. Builder.ai’s own AI Natasha will be added to Microsoft’s Teams store. Jon Tinter, corporate VP of business development, Microsoft, said: “We see Builder.ai creating an entirely new category that empowers everyone to be a developer and our new, deeper collaboration fuelled by Azure AI will bring the combined power of both companies to businesses around the world” Builder.ai’s platform assembles apps by connecting different blocks of code, such as sign-in pages. An AI chooses which of Builder.ai’s 85,000 designers and developers will be most suitable for each app’s development.
