September saw the ‘official launch’ of Opportunity Mid Sussex, Mid Sussex District Council’s inward investment platform, at a special event in Westminster to a handpicked audience of investors and developers. The evening was a great success with engaging speakers and presentations, highlighting the many opportunities available across the region.
The Economy team were delighted to secure Dr Mike Short, Chief Scientific Advisor at the Department for International Trade as the Keynote Speaker for the event, who discussed how Mid Sussex’s new Science & Tech Park plans are ‘exactly what is needed’. Dr Mike Short was joined by the Leader, Cllr Ash-Edwards, Cabinet Member for Economic Growth and Net Zero, Cllr Hillier and representatives from Vail Williams and the University of Brighton, all sharing their thoughts on why Mid Sussex is one of the most exciting investment locations in the UK today.
