The University of Surrey’s 5G/6G Innovation Centre has received the ‘Best Demo Award’ at the IEEE CAMAD 2024 conference for its exciting new wireless technology, NL-COMM. This award recognises the team’s live demonstration, which showed how NL-COMM can make 5G and other wireless networks more powerful and efficient in real-time by better utilising the available frequency, time and spatial resources.
NL-COMM, developed by Dr Konstantinos Nikitopoulos and the talented team at the 5G/6G Innovation Centre, uses cutting-edge techniques to boost the performance of wireless networks. This technology could play a big role in the future of mobile communication, making our connections faster and more reliable as we move towards the next generation of wireless, known as 6G.
