Invest Gatwick Diamond set to sparkle at UKREiiF, spotlighting region’s thriving viticulture sector

As part of  the Invest Gatwick Diamond presence at this year’s UK Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), the delegation will host exclusive English wine tasting events at their stand, on Tuesday 21  and Wednesday  22 May at 3:30pm, showcasing the region’s thriving vineyards and exceptional wines.

Nestled in the  South East of England, the Gatwick Diamond region has emerged as a hotspot for viticulture, boasting sun-soaked slopes and chalky soils reminiscent of the renowned vineyards of northern France. With an impressive lineup of award-winning wineries, the region has witnessed a remarkable 90 percent increase in vineyards since 2016, now proudly home to 11 wineries and hundreds of vineyards.

“The Gatwick Diamond is not only a thriving business hub but also a fertile ground for viticulture,” said Brett North, Chairman and Chief Executive of the Gatwick Diamond. “Our region’s unique geography and climate provide an ideal setting for vineyard cultivation, attracting both enthusiasts and investors alike.”

The wine tasting event, supported by Law firm Birketts LLP, and let by Great British Wine Tours will offer attendees an opportunity to sample some of the finest wines from the Gatwick Diamond region.

In addition to highlighting the region’s vibrant viticultural merits, the Invest Gatwick Diamond delegation at UKREiiF will showcase a diverse range of investment opportunities across various sectors, including life sciences, technology, aviation, and high-end manufacturing. The delegation comprises key stakeholders from Gatwick Diamond Initiative, London Gatwick, SHW, East Surrey, Crawley Borough Council, Invest West Kent, Oander, Horsham District Council, Croydon Council and Develop Croydon.

“Real estate and infrastructure are pivotal to regional development, and we are excited to leverage the platform of UKREiiF to promote the Gatwick Diamond’s investment potential,” added Brett North. “We invite likeminded organisations to join us in exploring the myriad opportunities that our region has to offer.”
