West Sussex County Council has agreed its budget for 2024/25 and of it’s £2bn budget, £3m will be specifically used to support the West Sussex economy. Following a public consultation, the Council Plan has also been approved, with four key priorities underpinned by the theme of ‘protecting the environment’:
- Keeping people safe from vulnerable situations.
- A sustainable and prosperous economy.
- Helping people and communities to fulfil their potential.
- Making the best use of resources.
During 2024/25 the council also plans to spend £131.6m of its £695m five-year Capital Programme. The main areas of investment being highways, schools and the environment.
